Chirag Desai Architects are seeking a creative and talented Architectural Technologist with a good understanding of construction methods and technical detailing to join our young team! 

Our current projects cover residential projects across London for a variety of private clients. As a practice, we work in Vectorworks, Revit, AutoCAD and the Adobe Suite and therefore proficiency and familiarity with the software will be required. 

By joining our team, you will be responsible for the production of technical drawings, details, and BIM coordination through Vectorworks. You will gain on-site experience across our exciting projects where you will collaborate with consultants and contractors in delivering bespoke and unique residential projects.

About you

Other responsibilities include ensuring design proposals comply with planning policies, applying technical standards, preparing detailed design drawings, managing planning applications and building regulations processes.

We encourage applications from highly motivated, detailed oriented young professionals with 1-2 years experience with the following skillsets:

• Proficiency with Vectorworks, Revit, AutoCAD and the Adobe Suite is a fundamental requirement

• Technical design experience in a private practice 

• Knowledge and experience with drafting construction details for residential purposes

• Visualisation experience using Enscape or other 3D rendering tools

• Ability to effectively express ideas orally, graphically, and in writing

• Knowledge of UK Building regulations 

• Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to pivot between different projects to meet tight deadlines
